Lithops - Living Stones

Lithops originate from the Southern African desert where they may only receive as little as 10cm of rain each year. These tiny succulents camouflage themselves as stones and pebbles to avoid being eaten by animals for their juicy leaves.
- Water small amounts in mid to late spring. Always allow the soil to dry out completely between each watering. Do not water from early autumn until the following spring or if your plant has just finished flowering. When it has finished flowering new leaves will develop from the fissure so allow these old leaves to dry out. Only water a very small amount during this time if you notice the leaves beginning to shrivel.
- The plant requires bright light with at least 4 -5 hours of direct sunlight.
